"account": "LAKE PLACID, N.Y. (AP) — Ansel Haugsjaa and Chevonne Forgan won titles in both singles and doubles races at USA Luge’s national start championships, marking the unofficial start of the team's competitive season. The event proved to be a successful night for doubles sliders. Haugsjaa secured the men's singles title, while Forgan claimed the women's singles crown. Together, they defended their doubles start title alongside Olympic teammate Sophia Kirkby.\n\nHaugsjaa expressed feeling at ease with the doubles sled, stating, \"I was shocked by how comfortable and easy it felt going back on the doubles sled after doing singles. Felt like I was right back at home.\" Despite their Olympic doubles race finish in Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, Haugsjaa and Mueller, who won the last three years' national doubles start titles, plan to continue competing in doubles. \"We made that decision a few years ago, to stick with doubles because we thought we can do a lot better,\" said Mueller. Forgan, however, found singles racing intimidating, acknowledging, \"Singles definitely poses interesting challenges.\"",
