"account": "The African Democratic Congress (ADC) Presidential Campaign Council has accused incumbent President Bola Tinubu of avoiding public appearances in Nigeria ahead of the 2027 elections. The council claims that Tinubu's reluctance to campaign nationwide is a sign of fear and contempt for the electorate, as public discontent over economic hardship, insecurity, hunger, and rising costs has grown. ADC's Director of Media and Publicity, Kola Ologbondiyan, argued that Tinubu should be prepared to defend his record and performance before voters, rather than limiting his campaign engagements to certain states. According to Ologbondiyan, former Presidents Olusegun Obasanjo, Goodluck Jonathan, and Muhammadu Buhari had successfully campaigned while fulfilling their official duties. Ologbondiyan dismissed the notion that official responsibilities could prevent Tinubu from campaigning, emphasizing that Atiku Abubakar, the opposition presidential candidate, would focus on economic recovery, wealth creation, and improved security during his nationwide tour. He urged young Nigerians to reject the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 election, accusing the ruling party of worsening hardship, insecurity, and poverty.",
