"summary": "The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has pledged to enhance its election security arrangements ahead of the 2028 general elections, according to Dr Ekua Amoakoh, a spokesperson for NPP flagbearer Dr Mahamudu Bawumia and the party’s Health Committee. Speaking to JoyNews, Amoakoh detailed the chaotic and unsafe conditions faced by the party during the 2024 elections, where polling agents were subjected to violence and some were held at gunpoint in the Upper East Region. She emphasized that the Ghana Police Service's presence was insufficient and that the party's grassroots members and polling agents bore the brunt of these security lapses. Despite these challenges, Amoakoh noted that the recent NPP national executive elections indicated a desire among delegates to address election security more effectively this time around, suggesting that the party will be better prepared for future elections.",
