"summary": "Police are investigating the cause of a fiery bus crash in Calgary that killed three passengers and injured 16 others, including a police officer who helped save a child. The chain-reaction crash occurred on Saddletowne Circle N.E. just after 1 p.m. Thursday, involving two transit buses, several other vehicles, and a police officer who rushed into a burning bus to rescue a child. The cause of the fire, which broke out on the second bus and resulted in an explosion and significant fire inside the vehicle, remains under investigation. Mayor Jeromy Farkas stated that there is currently no evidence to suggest impairment, speed, or distraction contributed to the collision. Calgary Transit has nearly 250 compressed natural gas-powered buses in its fleet, which it acquired in 2014 to reduce emissions, and plans to purchase 153 more this year.",
