"account": "Elon Musk reached out to US President Donald Trump with a proposal to cap the speed of Starlink satellite communications in Ukraine, which could impede Kyiv's ability to counter Russian drone assaults, according to The Telegraph. This move had immediate repercussions for Ukraine's defenses, causing some drone missions to be aborted and threatening the interception of Russian jet-powered drones as they targeted Ukrainian cities. The Telegraph reported that Trump concurred with Musk's proposal, enabling the Pentagon to impose restrictions on Starshield, the military-grade variant of SpaceX's satellite network utilized by Ukrainian forces. However, Musk contended that the US military and Trump were ultimately accountable for any limitations on the system. An anonymous US official, speaking to AFP, denied that either Musk or Trump was responsible for Ukraine losing access. These restrictions, stemming from tensions between Washington and Kyiv over Ukrainian strikes on Russian oil refineries, have sparked worries about Ukraine's reliance on privately managed communications infrastructure and the potential for US support changes to weaken its battlefield capabilities.",
