"account": "In the West Bank, Palestinian farmers and Israeli settlers clashed during the annual olive harvest, resulting in injuries to 12 Palestinians and a foreign journalist. A BBC team observed one of several violent incidents near the village of Abu Falah. Among the casualties was a dual Palestinian-American citizen, who sustained head and neck injuries from settler attacks. Settlers used guns, rocks, and specialized weapons to assault the farmers, who fled as smoke rose from burning cars. The US State Department condemned the violence and called for investigations and accountability. Palestinian farmers, facing increased attacks, have resorted to rapid harvesting to avoid confrontation, often working in close proximity to illegal Jewish settlements and outposts. Despite the dangers, many Palestinians remain committed to returning to their land, emphasizing their right to live there.",
