"account": "Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has defended the club’s decision to cut up to 60 jobs, stating that the move is aimed at improving operations and achieving greater success. The Gunners plan to reduce their workforce by up to seven percent, or 60 positions, from their current 871 permanent staff. The job cuts will affect several departments, but coaching and performance staff for both men’s and women’s teams, as well as roles within the Arsenal Foundation, Arsenal in the Community, and the club’s security department, will remain unaffected. Arteta declined to offer further details on the decision during a news conference ahead of a Premier League match against Nottingham Forest. However, he later clarified that the club’s intent was to refine its structure and keep investing for long-term success. The job cuts come a week after Arteta signed a new four-year contract with the club, following their first Premier League title in 20 years. The club reported record revenues of £691 million in the 2024-25 financial year, although it also reported an overall loss of £1.4 million and a significant increase in operating costs to £200.8 million.",
