"summary": "The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) announced on Friday that security forces killed a high-profile terrorist commander during a joint operation in the Walai Sagai area of Lakki Marwat, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The CTD identified the deceased as Zahid Gul, an individual affiliated with the khawariji Gul Bahadur group.\n\nAccording to Dawn, Gul was the mastermind behind the September 18 attack on the old Kohat Police Lines, where he led an explosives-laden vehicle to the compound. That attack, which involved terrorists storming police facilities following a detonation near a mosque, resulted in the deaths of 17 policemen and six civilians. Dawn reports that eight terrorists were killed during the overnight clearance operation following that assault.\n\nThe CTD stated that Gul was wanted by security forces for several other acts of terrorism. Additionally, Dawn reported that he was involved in a bank robbery in the Balitang area of Kohat.",
