"account": "The next book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses series, A Court of Splintered Harmony, will be released on October 27, 2026. This sixth installment carries the subtitle The Valkyrie Cycle, Movement I. The official synopsis introduces Koschei the Deathless as the main threat, bound to a mountain lake for centuries and now attracting allies who wish to reclaim human lands. Prythian is still recovering from the war with Hybern, and divisions within the Night Court have emerged. The book hints at the perspectives of characters like Lucien and Azriel, with clues suggesting their involvement. The published reading order of the ACOTAR series includes five novels and a novella, making A Court of Splintered Harmony the sixth published book. The story picks up after the events of A Court of Silver Flames, where Nesta, after defeating the human queen Briallyn, makes a deal with the Dread Trove to save both Feyre and herself. Nesta's actions leave her with limited magic and the ability to carry a winged child. The Valkyries, an ancient order of female warriors, are central to the upcoming books. Nesta, Gwyn, and Emerie revive their traditions and face challenges, including being kidnapped and forced into the Blood Rite. Koschei, an ancient sorcerer, remains a significant antagonist, responsible for the curse of the human queen Vassa and working with Briallyn. Elain and Lucien have a mating bond, while Elain and Azriel's relationship develops, though it remains unresolved. The Dread Trove, consisting of the Mask, Harp, and Crown, plays a crucial role in the series, with Nesta's connection stemming from being Made by the Cauldron. House of Sky and Breath and House of Flame and Shadow set the stage for these developments, with Bryce Quinlan crossing into the ACOTAR world and uncovering connections between the Prison's island and the lost Dusk Court.",
