"summary": "Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo has pledged to rebuild Oluku Market and support traders affected by a fire disaster in the Ovia North-East Local Government Area. According to Daily Post Nigeria, the incident occurred on the afternoon of Thursday, October 15, 2026, and resulted in several burns and the destruction of goods valued at millions of naira.\n\nDuring a visit to the scene on Friday, October 16, 2026, Okpebholo blamed the owner of a petroleum tanker for the fire, stating that the owner brought another tanker to transfer fuel without taking necessary safety precautions. The governor noted that the disaster could have been avoided if residents had stayed away from the scene, adding that people were scooping fuel before the explosion occurred.",
