"account": "Chelsea's captain Reece James is set to be sidelined for several weeks following successful knee surgery, as revealed by manager Xabi Alonso on Friday. The England international, 26, had previously missed last week's 5-1 victory over Bournemouth due to an injury sustained during training. Club officials announced that assessments indicated surgery was necessary, and James has commenced his rehabilitation process. Manager Alonso expressed disappointment, particularly for James, who had hoped to kick off the season strongly after the international break. An injury during the final training session prompted cautious assessment of the extent of the damage. Following successful surgery, the club remains supportive of James, recognizing his influence even when sidelined. While precise timelines are not set, James is expected to be out for several weeks. This injury history has plagued James over recent seasons, contributing to his absence from significant portions of matches. Last term, James showcased his best performance in years, earning a spot on England's 2026 World Cup squad. Regrettably, the right-back was among five players who withdrew from England's recent international break, and he now faces the prospect of missing the upcoming November international window. Currently, Chelsea sit sixth in the Premier League after six matches.",
