"account": "During the NBA offseason, the Golden State Warriors pursued major stars but, ultimately, signed several veteran free agents to bolster their roster. Among the signings were Brandon Williams, Georges Niang, and Charles Bassey. These players, whose combined contracts total approximately $9 million, were announced by Golden State head coach Steve Kerr to form the opening night roster and participate in the rotation against the Lakers. The signings aimed to provide needed perimeter bench scoring and stabilize the second unit, which often struggled to generate offense without Steph Curry on the court.",
