"account": "Assam Bhavan opened its doors in Bengaluru on Friday (October 16, 2026), aiming to enhance ties between Karnataka and Assam. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Assam's Chief Minister, inaugurated the six-storey facility after a six-year construction hiatus. The project stalled in 2016 due to disagreements with the Karnataka government's Revenue Department, but resumed in 2022 following resolution of the issues. Assam Bhavan will serve as a hub for Assamese residents in Karnataka, offering essential services and facilitating community events. The building's proximity to educational institutions makes it especially advantageous for Assamese students and medical patients. Sarma highlighted Karnataka's significant economic progress, citing ₹5 lakh crore in signed investment agreements, with ₹4 lakh crore already underway. He emphasized the government's commitment to retaining Assam's youth by fostering local employment opportunities. Additionally, the Bhavan's location near Bengaluru's educational institutions will provide invaluable support for students and medical patients.",
