"account": "The Safe Hands Foundation has expressed concern over the lack of running water in public schools across Rivers State, calling on governments and other stakeholders to invest in hygiene infrastructure. The foundation's founder, Dr Okolie Okechukwu, highlighted the difficulties faced by students and teachers in practicing basic hygiene due to the absence of running water. At a workshop marking the 2026 Global Handwashing Day, Okechukwu announced the launch of the foundation's water access project, which aims to provide potable water in schools and promote proper handwashing and hygiene. He emphasized the need for partnerships between the government, private individuals, and corporate organisations to restore water access and human rights to children in public schools. Proper handwashing is crucial in preventing infections and diseases, and the foundation urges participants to take action and promote good hygiene practices.",
