"account": "Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo were available from 8 a.m. ET on Friday, but the phone sold out almost immediately. Customers took to social media to express their disappointment at not being able to secure the device for in-store pickup. The Apple online store now lists the phone as backordered for delivery until early December. The Get Ready program, which allows users to pre-preorder new iPhones for a quicker checkout on launch day, was not fast enough for most consumers. The reporter attempted to order the iPhone Duo using the Get Ready process, along with colleagues from CNET, but found themselves too slow in the blink-and-you'll-miss-it window.",
"summary": "The iPhone Duo sold out near instantly at the Apple Store on Oct. 16, leading to frustrated customers and even higher anticipation.",
