"account": "Apple introduced the first foldable phone, the iPhone Duo, alongside the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max in the recent months. Pre-orders for the iPhone Duo began in Australia on October 16 through various Apple retail partners and telcos. The base model starts at AU$3,499, while the 2TB version goes up to AU$5,899, making it slightly more expensive than Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold 8, which starts at AU$2,699.\n\nWhile Apple has not offered any discounts on the handset itself, telcos and retailers have added bonuses and freebies to make the purchase more appealing. Vodafone, for instance, is providing a AU$300 trade-in credit on your old device, which can be up to AU$1,585 depending on the model. Telcos have also unveiled the monthly installment costs, starting at AU$117.89 per month for 24 months if you choose to pay in installments.\n\nIf you are pre-ordering directly from Apple, financing is available via Afterpay with monthly payments starting at AU$145.79 for 24 months. The trade-in values from Apple are also more generous, up to AU$1,595 depending on the device. Retailers such as Amazon, JB Hi-Fi, and The Good Guys are also offering iPhones Duo pre-order deals. Amazon doesn't provide a handset discount but allows trade-ins of up to AU$2,595. JB Hi-Fi offers 10% off JB Hi-Fi Extras with every iPhone Duo pre-order and accepts trade-ins for a JB Hi-Fi gift card towards the purchase. The Good Guys is selling the iPhone Duo at AU$1 cheaper than the official Apple price, making it the lowest outright price currently available.",
