"account": "A 16-year-old boy has shot and killed three children and a teacher at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon before being fatally shot by a bystander, according to police. The suspect forcibly entered the school by shooting at locked doors on Thursday afternoon. The three victims were aged five, eight, and eleven, while a seven-year-old and a 54-year-old teacher remain in critical condition. Police arrived at the scene three minutes after the initial call, and the bystander who intervened pursued the attacker into the school. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek praised the bystander's heroic actions, stating that their courage carried an emotional burden. The school will remain closed on Friday as officials give the community time to grieve. Oregon has implemented strict gun safety laws, placing it in the top 12 for gun control measures among the 50 states.",
