"account": "India's police detained Abhijeet Dipke, the founder of the youth-led \"Cockroach Janta Party\" (CJP), on Friday ahead of a protest in New Delhi's central business district. The rally was organized to demand the resignation of India's election chief, Gyanesh Kumar, over a revision of voter lists that critics allege favors Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Bharatiya Janata Party.\n\nThe \"Cockroach Janta Party\" and other opposition groups, as well as student organizations, have been holding almost daily protests this month to push for Kumar's resignation. Around 130 million voters were removed from the voter list during the revision, a move the Election Commission has denied was biased but has maintained that voters who were mistakenly deleted can re-enroll.\n\nThe Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has accused its rivals of attempting to undermine democracy by questioning the integrity of the electoral process. Dipke announced that Friday's protest would take place at Connaught Place, a busy shopping and food district in Delhi, with supporters planning to wave and display the national flag.\n\nA live video from the CJP's social media showed Dipke emerging from a house and walking towards the street, where police officers intercepted him. After a brief exchange, the officers took him into a police car and transported him away. Dipke defended his actions, claiming he had not broken any laws, but the officers insisted they were detaining him. The police have not yet issued a statement regarding the detention. Earlier on Friday, police had spoken with Dipke and cautioned him against proceeding with the planned protest.",
