"account": "The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has cancelled the 2026 Urban Cycling World Championships in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, due to missile strikes on the capital's international airport. The event, originally scheduled for November 3-7, was put on hold in the wake of the Houthi attack that killed 13 people and injured 300. The UCI's decision came after a thorough assessment of the ongoing regional conflict and its implications for the Championships' logistics. This is the second year in a row that the Urban Worlds were set to take place in Riyadh. The UCI regrets the cancellation and thanks the Saudi Cycling Federation, athletes, and National Federations for their cooperation and understanding. The Saudi Cycling Federation reaffirmed its commitment to growing cycling in the Kingdom and maintaining partnerships with the UCI.",
