"account": "Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have arrested school owner Khan Muhammad in connection with a roof collapse that killed 30 children and injured 52 others at a school in Peshawar’s Dir Colony. The criminal case was lodged at Agha Mir Jani Shah police station under Section 322 of the Pakistan Penal Code, which addresses deaths caused without the intention to kill. The arrest stemmed from allegations of construction defects, as police seek the remaining suspects named in the First Information Report (FIR). The FIR asserts that management failed to address complaints about deteriorating walls and roofs, while children expressed concerns about the dilapidated and unsafe premises. The building was constructed on a 16-marla property leased by Waheed and Javed in 2024, and Khan Muhammad previously attributed the collapse to days of rainfall. Police are investigating allegations regarding construction quality and the failure to address reported safety issues. The victims included 30 children and a female teacher, with 52 people sustaining injuries. Relatives of the deceased have called for a thorough investigation and accountability.",
