"account": "On Thursday, a 16-year-old shooter opened fire at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon, killing four people before being shot dead by a member of the community, police reported. The victims included three children - aged 5, 8 and 11 - one teacher, and a 7-year-old student, along with a 54-year-old teacher who was critically injured. Bend Police Chief Mike Krantz revealed that the suspect entered the school by firing through locked doors, but provided no further details. Oregon Governor Tina Kotek praised the community member who intervened, stating that no parent should have to endure such a day. The shooting has reignited discussions about gun laws in the United States, a country where gun rights are protected by the Constitution's second amendment. Krantz informed the public that all Bend police officers had undergone active shooter training in August, emphasizing that this is a routine occurrence. The school, which serves students from kindergarten to fifth grade, has approximately 450 students and 40 staff members.",
