"account": "Yuzvendra Chahal, India's leading spinner in white-ball cricket, shed light on his omission from the 2023 ODI World Cup squad. Despite emerging as a key spinner in T20Is, Chahal was not included in the 15-member team for the tournament. In an interview with former India opener Aakash Chopra, Chahal revealed that he was informed of his non-selection by then-captain Rohit Sharma. The team management aimed to add more batting options and pursue an alternate strategy for the World Cup, which led to Chahal's exclusion. Chahal's last ODI was played in January 2023, and he stopped thinking about his selection after that. He played his final T20I in August 2023 but did not make it to the squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup or subsequent World Cups. Chahal remains the highest wicket-taker among Indian bowlers in T20 cricket, with 396 wickets in 343 matches.",
