"account": "KUCHING, Oct 16 — Pending assemblyman Violet Yong has hinted that the upcoming Sarawak election could take place either on December 12 or December 19 this year. She made this statement during her concluding debate speech on the State Budget 2027 at a DUN sitting today. \"Until we meet again in the next term of the Sarawak State Legislative Assembly (DUN) after the state election, which is going to be held soon and my guess is on the 12th or 19th of December,\" she told the DUN.\n\nWhen questioned about the reason behind her remarks, the Sarawak DAP Secretary explained that it was her way of expressing gratitude to Deputy Speaker Datuk Idris Buang for presiding over the session. On Sept 22, Speaker Tan Sri Datuk Amar Mohamad Asfia Awang Nasar had informed reporters that the current DUN term would conclude with the next state election. However, the exact date for the dissolution of the DUN has not been announced yet. The term of the 19th State Legislative Assembly is set to end in February next year.",
