"account": "An individual armed with a firearm opened fire at Silver Rail Elementary School in Bend, Oregon on Thursday, resulting in multiple victims and ultimately the shooter's death. Both CNN and CBS News, based on reports from law enforcement sources, confirmed that one adult and three children were killed in the incident, though it remains unclear if the shooter was included in the death toll. The assailant, identified as a 16-year-old male, entered the school approximately 30 minutes after the initial shooting began at around 1 p.m. Police reported that the suspect was shot dead, possibly by a bystander, upon arriving at the scene. At least two victims were transported to a hospital, although their current condition is unknown. The school, which serves students from kindergarten to fifth grade, has approximately 450 students and 40 staff members. Local Representative Maxine Dexter expressed her sorrow, stating that schools should be safe havens for learning, friendship, and joy. Governor Tina Kotek also lamented the tragedy, emphasizing that no community should have to endure such an event. FBI chief Kash Patel confirmed that federal agents were assisting in the ongoing investigation.",
