"account": "EU leaders are meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Selenskyj to discuss further support for Ukraine's defense against Russia. Selenskyj has also been meeting with other European leaders, including NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte and French President Emmanuel Macron. He warned that Russia is taking US signals as a green light to attack Ukrainian infrastructure, and called for increased protection before winter. Russian attacks have left nearly 15,000 people without power in western Ukraine and damaged energy facilities in two regions. German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has called for an increase in EU funding for Ukraine, citing a shortfall of $32.6 billion in Ukraine's 2023 budget.",
"summary": "A financing gap in the double-digit billion range and the trouble with Trump over Starlink and the diesel deal with Putin: These are likely to be the main topics on Zelenskyy's Brussels visit.",
