"account": "Steven Soderbergh will finish work on the sequel to \"The Batman,\" titled \"The Batman: Part II.\" The filmmaker, known for his work on \"Ocean's Eleven,\" \"Traffic,\" and the recent \"Black Bag,\" will step in to assist director Matt Reeves, who is currently dealing with personal matters. Warner Bros. announced the decision, stating that Soderbergh, an admirer of Reeves' work, will collaborate closely with the cast and crew to ensure a seamless continuation of the film. Reeves, who is directing Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne/Batman alongside Scarlett Johansson and Sebastian Stan, will work with Soderbergh to integrate the new footage into the already shot scenes. The sequel, set for release on February 18, 2028, follows the events of the 2022 film, which grossed $772.3 million worldwide and introduced the notorious Riddler (Paul Dano), Catwoman (Zoë Kravitz), and Penguin (Colin Farrell) to the Batman universe. The cast includes returning members Andy Serkis, Colin Farrell, Jeffrey Wright, and Jayme Lawson, along with newcomers Charles Dance, Sebastian Koch, and Brian Tyree Henry. The film will be produced by Dylan Clark, Reeves, Lynn Harris, and DC Films heads James Gunn and Peter Safran. Soderbergh's recent projects include the documentary \"John Lennon: The Last Interview\" and the micro-heist movie \"The Christophers.\"",
