"account": "Netflix has appointed a new content chief, Peter Rice, as the company grapples with a stock slump and declining viewership. Bela Bajaria, who has led Netflix's movies and shows since 2023, is stepping down after nearly a decade at the company. Bajaria will be succeeded by Rice on October 26. Rice, a former executive at Fox and Disney, previously oversaw Hulu and networks such as ABC, Disney Channel, and FX. This announcement comes a day after Netflix announced it had laid off around 1,000 employees, its largest round of cuts in four years. Co-CEO Ted Sarandos credited Bajaria for her role in diversifying Netflix's content mix to include live events and sports. This is an ongoing story and will be updated. For more details, read the original article on Business Insider.",
