"account": "On October 14, the Oklahoma City Thunder acquired Killian Hayes from the Cleveland Charge, along with Justyn Hamilton and Babatunde Akingbola, in a G League trade. In return, the Thunder gave up Zack Austin and a 2026 G League second-round draft pick. Hayes, who was the seventh overall pick in the 2020 NBA draft, has struggled throughout his career. Despite being a top draft pick, he averaged only 7.9 points per game, shooting 37.7% from the field and dishing out 5 assists. The Detroit Pistons tried to make his career work but were unable to do so. Hayes then played two more NBA seasons with the Brooklyn Nets and Sacramento Kings before turning to the G League. The Thunder and Blue are now the latest stops on his professional journey. It is unlikely that anything significant will come from this move, but Hayes, a 25-year-old household name, may make their G League games more entertaining. Hayes cannot sign a two-way deal, but if the Thunder open one with Otega Oweh due to a torn Achilles by the 2026-27 season, he may have another opportunity.",
