"account": "The Federal Government has reopened the First Niger Bridge after a 38-day closure for emergency rehabilitation works, connecting Onitsha in Anambra State to Asaba in Delta State. Federal Works Minister Dave Umahi, alongside state officials and traditional rulers, initiated the reopening on Thursday. The bridge remained closed since September 7 due to damaged structural components, with initial reopening set for September 21 but extended indefinitely due to continuous rainfall and other delays. Speaking at the ceremony on the Onitsha side, Umahi encouraged residents of the South-East and South-South regions to support President Bola Tinubu's re-election bid, praising his qualifications for leading the country. Umahi acknowledged the roles of Anambra and Delta governors and contractor SKCC in the project, emphasizing the bridge's significance as a major transport link between the South-East and South-South regions.",
