The President, while inaugurating the council, emphasized the crucial role women play in political mobilisation and democratic development, urging women leaders to intensify their advocacy for the six proposed bills. President Tinubu expressed confidence that women's efforts would lead to successful outcomes. Edu expressed gratitude to the President for his commitment to women's political advancement, describing the proposed legislation as a significant step towards increasing their representation. She pledged to bolster grassroots structures and engage women throughout the country under the guidance of the First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu.
