"account": "Central Methodist University has suspended six football players following an alleged locker room assault. The incident occurred on October 9, 2026, when a player was allegedly forced to fight a teammate for being late to practice. The victim, who was taken to urgent care, told police that he was assaulted by Kamarrion Ferguson and Michael Hourel. Hourel, who is the team's captain, admitted to taking part in the incident but claimed he only hit his teammate with an open hand before others joined in. The school has suspended the four other players involved, though they have not been charged with a crime. The university is conducting an investigation to determine how the incident originated and who was aware of it. The school emphasized that the safety and well-being of the student is their top priority and that the behavior demonstrated is not consistent with their values of respect and care for others. Both Ferguson and Hourel are no longer on the team's roster as of Thursday afternoon.",
