"account": "Former U.S. President Donald Trump has decided against streaming the execution of former U.S. Army psychiatrist Nidal Hasan by firing squad. Initially, Trump had given his approval for the execution to be broadcast online, though Vice-President Mike Pence expressed reservations about the event and pledged not to watch it himself. As the public outcry over the potential streaming of the execution grew, Trump indicated on Thursday that \"many very good and well-meaning people would rather not watch him die.\" Trump stated, \"I think streaming the execution for all to see might have been a strong deterrent for the World to witness how America handles Terrorists and SCUM like Hasan.\" However, he retracted his decision, adding, \"He will die, as scheduled, by firing squad, but this event will not be streamed.\" Nidal Hasan was responsible for the fatal shooting of 13 unarmed U.S. soldiers and injuring 32 others at a military base in Texas in 2009. His execution by firing squad will be the first military execution in over 60 years. Trump asserted that the execution can be witnessed in person by the families of the victims, stating that they \"deserve to witness JUSTICE!\"",
