"account": "President John Mahama has ceremonially laid the foundation stone for the Afienya Industrial Park, a 1,238-acre development aimed at stimulating manufacturing, attracting investment, and generating employment opportunities. The expansive park is envisioned to host over 120 enterprises and will be equipped with comprehensive infrastructure such as electricity, water supply, transport networks, and waste management systems to facilitate smooth business operations. In his address at the event on October 15, 2026, Mahama highlighted the park's significance in addressing the increasing demand for industrial spaces, following the saturation of available zones in Tema. He further elaborated on the government's $10 billion New Economy Programme, slated to commence the following year, which will bolster infrastructure developments at the Afienya Industrial Park. This initiative aligns with broader objectives of expanding production capabilities, curbing import reliance, and enhancing exports. Following the sod-cutting ceremony, Mahama proceeded to inspect several industrial facilities within the enclave, underscoring the government's commitment to fostering growth, unlocking commercial potential, and creating additional employment opportunities.",
