"account": "Abia State University in Uturu has issued a stern warning to staff members against engaging in various forms of misconduct. Acting Registrar Dr. Joy Nwankwo revealed in an internal memo dated October 12, 2026, that some employees have been flouting rules and regulations concerning their conditions of service. The university's Governing Council has observed a range of violations, including the direct sale of textbooks to students, despite a Senate position against this practice, frequent tardiness, and absenteeism without official permission.\n\nOther infractions mentioned include failure to resume work after approved leaves, receiving salaries for uncompleted tasks, and making negative comments about the university's management, which could harm the institution's reputation. The memo also cited staff members who employed casual workers to carry out official duties while staying absent, the use of student representatives to exploit fellow students, and the prohibition of using students to invigilate exams. The Governing Council has decided to impose serious disciplinary measures on any employee found guilty of these misconducts.",
