"summary": "Apple CEO John Ternus has criticized early foldable smartphones as feeling \"kind of cheap and crappy\" in a recent interview with TIME. Samsung's first foldable hit the market in 2019, but Apple chose to delay its entry into the foldable market, resulting in the iPhone Duo. Ternus praised the design team's newfound confidence to innovate and manufacture a premium device with a barely-noticeable display crease. The iPhone Duo becomes available for pre-order starting this Friday at 5 a.m. Pacific Time.",
