"account": "The 4th November local government elections will see Heilbron and its surrounding farming areas become part of Metsimaholo Local Municipality. This change represents a significant shift in the political and administrative structure of the Fezile Dabi District within the Free State province. Dr Gino Alberts, Communications Manager for Metsimaholo Local Municipality, explains that the re-determination of municipal outer boundaries has led to this transition. The affected areas, which include Sasolburg, Deneysville, Oranjeville, Viljoensdrift, and other farming regions, were previously under the administration of Ngwathe Local Municipality. Alberts highlights that this reconfiguration is scheduled to coincide with the upcoming 2026 Local Government Elections on November 4th, 2026. He emphasizes that this election will not only determine the new political leadership of the municipalities, but will also signify a crucial administrative shift with the implementation of the new municipal boundaries. Preparations for this transition are already underway, with officials from both Metsimaholo and Ngwathe Local Municipalities collaborating through various engagements and dedicated workstreams to ensure a smooth and orderly implementation process.",
