"account": "Six inmates have escaped from the police cells at Konongo, located in the Asante Akyem Central Municipality of the Ashanti Region, leaving five others remanded in custody. The escapees reportedly breached the cells by creating a hole leading to the station’s detached washrooms, from which they descended and fled the scene. Immediately following the incident, police initiated a search operation resulting in the arrest of one escapee in a suburb of Kumasi. The remaining five escapees remain at large. Asante Akyem Central Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Ebenezer Ekow Aidoo, confirmed the event to Accra-based Citi News. Dr. Aidoo stated that the Municipal Security Council is taking steps to enhance security at the facility, proposing to reinforce the walls of the cells to deter future occurrences. He further hinted at plans to construct a new police station and augment the police presence in the region, especially during nighttime, along with improvements in lighting and surveillance at the station to curb similar incidents in the future.",
