"account": "Manchester United defender Lisandro Martinez revealed that anger and frustration motivated his harsh criticism of the club’s leadership following a 2-0 loss to Atletico Madrid in the UEFA Champions League. The Argentine international expressed disappointment in the club’s lack of investment in the summer transfer window and questioned technical director Jason Wilcox’s efforts to strengthen the team. However, Martinez clarified that his remarks were fueled by his passion for the club and desire to see United competing for major titles. “Those who know me know how I live football, with passion, commitment and a huge desire to win,” he stated, insisting his comments represented his ambition for the club. Martinez acknowledged the collective responsibility for the team’s performances, demanding more from himself and his teammates. Despite his criticism, he reaffirmed his support for manager Michael Carrick and the club’s work to improve. United has faced inconsistency this season, winning only two of their nine matches and sitting 13th in the Premier League. Martinez’s comments have added to scrutiny of the club’s leadership and recruitment strategy.",
