"account": "Germany is experiencing a significant increase in potato prices due to a poor harvest. The country's Statistical Federal Office reported that potato prices rose by 11.3% in September compared to the same month last year, exceeding the overall inflation rate of 3.3%. The harvest is down by around a quarter to 10.4 million tonnes, with an 11.1% reduction in cultivated area and drought leading to smaller potatoes. As a result, producer prices have surged by 61.5% in August, with prices for all plant-based products increasing by 12.3%.",
"summary": "The potato harvest is shrinking by around a quarter, and the tubers are smaller due to the drought. Consumers are already paying significantly more.",
