"account": "The upcoming Vizianagaram district administration faces a significant challenge in organizing both the Sirimanotsavam, a major annual festival, and the local mayoral elections on consecutive days, October 27 and 28, 2026. The Sirimanotsavam, dedicated to Goddess Pydithalli Ammavaru, is expected to draw over 2.5 lakh devotees, making it the largest festival in Andhra Pradesh. Preceding the Sirimanotsavam is the Vizianagaram Utsavam, held on October 25 and 26. The election for the mayor's position and 62 corporators in Vizianagaram will take place on October 28, the day following the festival. Collectors S. Ramsundar Reddy and S. Sedhu Madhavan instructed municipal officials to ensure smooth execution of both events, including waiving leaves and ensuring staff presence on holiday days if required. The district administration, with experience in managing similar large-scale events like the Prime Minister's inauguration of the international airport, aims to motivate employees to successfully complete both the festival and the election process. A total of 2,23,050 voters will cast their ballots in 229 polling stations, with 40 returning officers and 1,600 polling personnel overseeing the process. The police department has prepared to deploy additional forces, identifying 81 polling booths as highly sensitive and 26 as more sensitive, to maintain order during the celestial events and elections.",
