"account": "US military plans to potentially use the largest non-nuclear bomb, the \"mother of all bombs\" or MOAB, against Iranian energy infrastructure and nuclear sites, according to reports from CNN. The weapon, not used in the ongoing conflict, would mark a significant escalation if President Donald Trump orders combat operations to resume. The plans come as Trump seeks to end a war unpopular among American voters, particularly before the midterm elections. The MOAB, weighing 21,600 pounds, is designed to produce a massive blast but is not suited for deep penetration of underground nuclear facilities. Its potential use against Iran could serve as a psychological tool to intimidate Tehran and demonstrate US military strength. The White House is exploring options to achieve a symbolic victory, such as reopening the Strait of Hormuz, without abandoning its objective of preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons. However, concerns persist about the effectiveness of the MOAB against deeply buried facilities and the potential for civilian casualties. The Pentagon emphasizes that they plan for a range of scenarios to ensure mission success, while the White House maintains that all options remain on the table to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.",
