"account": "In the third game of the 2026 NLCS, Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher Robert Gasser struck out Shohei Ohtani with a pitch, causing the four-time MVP to take a hit by a 81 mph breaking ball. Despite the painful incident, Ohtani did not suffer any injury and gingerly tried to shake off the pain before heading to first base. Gasser then proceeded to retire the next two batters, sealing the inning without conceding a run. Ohtani, who has been struggling in the playoffs, had been hit just .150/.261/.150 with zero home runs, no RBIs, and only a stolen base across six games and 24 plate appearances. This performance prompted discussions of benching him, but the Dodgers are eager to see Ohtani return to his previous form before falling behind by three games to Milwaukee in the series.",
