"account": "Paris, October 15 — Disney announced that Ryan Coogler will direct a new series of The X-Files, following the original nine-season run from 1993 to 2002. Coogler, renowned for his work on Creed, the Black Panther films, and the Oscar-winning Sinners, will helm the series, which is set to premiere on Disney+.\n\nThe original X-Files, created by Chris Carter, featured FBI agents Dana Scully (played by Gillian Anderson) and Fox Mulder (played by David Duchovny) as they investigated mysterious cases attributed to paranormal phenomena. The series garnered widespread acclaim and won numerous Emmy and Golden Globe awards.\n\nFor the reboot, Coogler penned, directed, and produced a pilot that honors the original's essence while bringing a fresh perspective to the beloved sci-fi series. The lead roles of Scully and Mulder will be portrayed by British actor Himesh Patel, known for his role in Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey, and Danielle Deadwyler, who is set to star in an upcoming adaptation of The Bell Jar.",
