"account": "MIAMI GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — Lionel Messi assisted Rodrigo De Paul's goal and Germán Berterame scored to propel reigning champions Inter Miami back into the MLS playoffs with a 2-0 victory over New York City FC on Wednesday night. Luis Suárez also contributed an assist, marking Inter Miami's second consecutive win since July. Following a first-round loss to Atlanta United in 2023, the team has secured playoff spots three consecutive seasons, including a first-ever MLS Cup title in 2025. Following a dominant 4-0 win over DC United last Saturday, this victory marked Coach Cristian \"Kily\" González's second league triumph since taking the reins on September 16. Berterame netted his eighth goal of the season in the 20th minute. Dayne St. Clair maintained a perfect record with his second shutout of the match. Messi, who recently announced his retirement from international soccer, has the chance to add another trophy to his impressive legacy.",
