"account": "After Boston Celtics guard Payton Pritchard signed a $44 million contract extension, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins is expecting a significant increase in his production for the upcoming season. As the Celtics start a new chapter without All-Star Jaylen Brown, Perkins predicts Pritchard to assume a larger role. For Perkins, he foresees Pritchard becoming the second-leading scorer behind Jayson Tatum, according to ESPN’s NBA Today. Perkins highlighted Pritchard's consistent improvement throughout his NBA career, particularly his exceptional performance last year. With a career average of 46 percent from the field and nearly 40 percent from three, Perkins stated that Pritchard is more than just a catch-and-shoot player; he is someone the Celtics trust to score and elevate his teammates. Perkins believes that Pritchard could potentially be the second leading scorer on the team, right behind Tatum. After watching Pritchard's impressive 17.0 points per game last season, coupled with his improved shooting (46.7 percent overall and 37 percent from beyond the arc), Perkins is confident that Pritchard will elevate his game even further in the 2026-27 season. Pritchard’s inspiring message on social media after securing his contract extension is a clear indication of his dedication and hard work paying off.",
