"summary": "Inmates from Dubai Police's General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments have participated in the sixth Intercontinental Chess Championship for Prisoners, an online event featuring 134 teams from 54 countries. Organized by the International Chess Federation (FIDE) in collaboration with the Dubai Chess and Culture Club, the championship was hosted by Cook County in the United States. The participation of the Dubai inmates is seen as a reflection of Dubai Police's commitment to rehabilitation, with chess helping inmates develop strategic thinking and mental discipline. The team's first-place finish in the championship's fourth edition in 2024 is attributed to Dubai Police's support for inmate training.",
