"summary": "Irish novelist Sally Rooney stated that she is blocked from selling her books in the United Kingdom due to her support for Palestine Action. According to the Qatar Tribune, the direct-action protest group was proscribed as a terrorist organization in the UK on July 5, 2025, making support for the group a criminal offense punishable by up to 14 years in prison. Rooney previously expressed her intention to donate earnings from her books and BBC adaptations to the group, which aims to end global participation in Israel's regime.\n\nFollowing a process of consultation and deliberation, Rooney's publisher, Faber, determined it can no longer supply her work within the UK. Rooney stated that after she wrote an opinion piece expressing her intention to continue supporting the group, the fulfillment of publishing contracts in the UK could constitute a serious criminal offense. The author noted that Palestine Action is not a prohibited group in the Republic of Ireland.",
