"account": "The Street Fighter movie cast is excited about the prospect of a crossover film with Mortal Kombat. In May 2026, Mortal Kombat co-creator Ed Boon expressed his admiration for Capcom’s franchise, stating that he was a \"huge fan.\" Given the release of Mortal Kombat II in theaters earlier that year, the actors behind the Street Fighter movie were asked if they would be willing to fight alongside characters like Shao Kahn to defend Earthrealm alongside Liu Kang and co. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with Andrew Schulz joking about his attempt at setting up a collaboration during the 2025 Game Awards. Cody Rhodes and Eric Andre also expressed their enthusiasm for the idea, joking about matching names and potential crossovers with the Flinstones or Jetsons. Andrew Koji, Noah Centineo, and Callina Liang were equally enthusiastic about the prospect, with Koji specifically mentioning Marvel vs Capcom as another potential crossover opportunity. The possibility of such a project may seem daunting due to Mel Jarnson's dual role in both movies, but she was more than willing to take on the challenge, joking about bringing Nitara back to life with a unique twist. While it remains to be seen if a Mortal Kombat x Street Fighter film will ever come to fruition, the enthusiasm from the cast of the Street Fighter movie seems to suggest that the stars are aligned for such a crossover.",
