"summary": "Irish novelist Sally Rooney and her publisher, Faber, announced on Wednesday that her books will no longer be sold in the United Kingdom in any format. According to the Jerusalem Post, this decision follows Rooney's plans to use her royalties to support Palestine Action, a pro-Palestinian group that the British government banned as a terrorist organization last year.\n\nFaber stated that current UK legislation prevents the publisher from passing on earnings from UK sales to Rooney, describing the inability to transfer those funds as an unconscionable situation. While the publisher will continue to sell her works in other locations, the books will be withdrawn from the UK market.\n\nRooney, known for novels such as Normal People and Conversations with Friends, previously noted in a witness statement submitted to the London High Court that her intentions could result in her books being withdrawn from sale in Britain. In a statement reported by both The Hollywood Reporter and the Jerusalem Post, Rooney said she has made every effort to be honest with the public regarding her beliefs and intentions and is wholly prepared to accept the consequences.",
