Okuyiga, a 96-year-old retired Deputy Commissioner of Police, was among the first 20 women recruited into the Nigeria Police Force in 1955. The IGP, who met Okuyiga briefly, promised to ensure the publication of her biography after hearing her discuss the idea. Okuyiga, who hailed from Rivers State, expressed delight at the book launch, emphasizing that her experiences would be preserved for future generations. She noted that policing has undergone significant changes since her joining in 1955 due to population growth and evolving life changes. The event, which drew various dignitaries, highlighted the courage and service of these pioneering women and their contributions to the development of the Nigeria Police Force.",
